Bahia la Tortuga Fishing Lodge recently had the pleasure of being fished by ESPN's Jose Wejebe, host of The Spanish Fly. Jose caught 7 sailfish and was able to film some great underwater action. Look for us soon on Saltwater Sunday.

"Being lucky enough to host Wanna Go Fishing? on ESPN 2 has allowed me to fish some of the hottest fishing locations in North and Central America, and without question, Bahia " La Tortuga" fishing lodge is
one place you shouldn't pass up. If you want to have an outrageous inshore or offshore experience, and at the same time have a real
authentic cultural Mexican experience, then this is the place to go.
"I can't say enough about the food, service, lodge, short runs, and the
giant marlin that inhabit this tremendous place."

"Escape from the ordinary and visit Bahia la Tortuga for a once in a lifetime adventure. The scenery is spectacular, the food and lodging exceeded my expectations, and the fishing was nothing short of phenomenal. With a 67 pound trophy rooster, John Lorenz and his cordial staff made my angling dreams come true!"

"Recently I went on a exploratory adventure to a remote fishing lodge called Bahia la Tortuga located in the fishing village of Puerto Vicente, which is on the Pacific side of Mexico. John Lorenz and his lovely wife, Angie, were the best hosts anyone could have, serving some of the best Mexican dishes and really making us feel at home in their place."

From the January 2006 issue of Saltwater Sportsman Magazine
"Puerto Vicente Guerrero,
about an hour south of Zihuatanejo is the brightest new fishing
destination in Mexico and Bahia La Tortuga Lodge in this small town
gives you a real flavor of the town, its friendly people and the
fishing. With sailfish only a few miles offshore, this is an easy
place to fish, has great fishing and virtually nobody is going after
these fish. This adobe lodge has everything you need including private
bathrooms in your rooms and air conditioning. Meals are excellent
and the picturesque beach only a couple hundred yards away makes
this an idyllic setting ..."

Our 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom Fishing Lodge is located on a solitary, half-moon
beach on Playa Escondido at Puerto Vicente Guerrero, Mexico, a small fishing community
untouched by time. Located a short 1 hour drive south of the Ixtapa / Zihuatanejo
airport and a 1 1/2 hour drive from the Acapulco airport, Puerto has remained
unchanged.
